Integrated fieldbus within the IO113, facilitates the integration of the Grundfos IO 113 pump monitoring unit into various Scada systems via Modbus RTU.
IO 113 monitoring, protection and communication module
The IO 113 is a protection module designed specifically for Grundfos SE/SL 9-30KW and The S wastewater ranges. The IO 113 has various dedicated analogue, PT100/1000 and digital inputs to monitor the pump and has a galvanically isolated output, that can be integrated into the pump control system to stop the pump in the event of failure.
The IO 113 offers the following monitoring functions*:
• motor temperature
• moisture in motor
• Water in oil
• insulation resistance.
• Pump vibration
• Bearing temperature

SM 113 sensor module
The SM 113 is an expansion unit that supports the IO113 . The SM 113 is only used in combination with the IO 113. The two devices communicate with each other via a powerline connection with the Grundfos GENIbus protocol.
Supporting the IO113 the SM 113 increases the ability of this extended system to monitor data from the following sensors:
• 3 flow sensors, 4-20 mA
• 3 PT100 temperature sensors
• 3 PT1000 temperature sensors
• 1 PTC temperature sensor
• 1 digital input.
